Oil & Gas Transactions

Louisiana Oil & Gas Law Lawyer

Since 1970, The Law Office of G. Warren Thornell, A.P.L.C.'s legal practice has dealt with all aspects of oil and gas exploration, development, and production throughout northern Louisiana. We have represented landowners, independent oil operators, mid-sized to major oil and gas companies, geophysical companies, and engineering companies.

We have the experience to negotiate for the inclusion of specific oil and gas lease provisions that preserve the future integrity of the mineral interest while maximizing the benefit to the lessor. See Louisiana oil and gas law attorney G. Warren Thornell's tips for oil and gas leases for more information.

From our offices in Shreveport, we have completed transactions and prepared contracts associated with oil and gas law, including:

  • Servitudes and mineral titles
  • Title defects and flaws
  • Joint operating and participation agreements
  • Seismic agreements between landowners and seismic contractors
  • Buy-sell agreements
  • Gas purchase agreements
  • Dry hole support contribution agreements
  • Saltwater disposal agreements
  • Due diligence activity during acquisition and/or divestment of oil and gas properties
